Create New Jobs and Local Contracts

Brockton Clean Energy represents new supply contracts and hundreds of new jobs. 300 construction jobs and 25 highly paid engineering jobs will be created. Every week Brockton Clean Energy receives resumes from qualified Brocktonians. Many applicants have been trained at Massasoit’s Power Program or at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Onset. In total, $5,000,000 will be spent annually on salaries and supplies and services, all of which will be sourced locally.

  • $50 Million (300 union construction jobs for 2 years)
  • $45 Million  ($1,500,000/yr Long-term job contracts for 30 years)
  • $105 Million  ($3,500,000/yr Local supply contracts for 30 years)
  • $15 Million (National Grid infrastructure upgrade for Brockton)

 

Save Existing Jobs

Brockton Clean Energy also represents a significant tax base for the City of Brockton. Taxes support municipal works projects, municipal workers, and other programs and employees of the City such as:

  • Public Safety
  • Police Officers
  • Fire Fighters
  • Teachers
  • Library
